Beyond being a way to relax with your loved ones and regain your positive energy, a vacation is an adventure full of emotions, which you should remember with pleasure over the years. And it’s not just about visiting unique sights in the world, but also about meeting people with impressive stories, discovering the local culture and getting lost in the beauty of the natural landscapes.

Starting with this thought in mind, we invite you, in the following, in a fascinating journey, which crosses in length and breadth one of the most interesting tourist regions in Romania: Bucovina.

Summer vacation at the Monasteries of Bucovina

You can’t call yourself a tourist passionate about Romania if you haven’t visited the monasteries in Bucovina yet. The cradle of Romanian spirituality welcomes you with an exceptional tourist offer. Bucovina is one of the most picturesque areas of our country and the place where you will be able to know traditions and customs that are kept unaltered by the passage of time. Here you can taste the most delicious dishes of Romanian cuisine, but the most popular tourist attractions here are the painted monasteries. Switch to your list of tourist attractions to visit the Voroneţ, Moldoviţa, Suceviţa and Humor Monasteries.

“A holiday in Bucovina means a journey in which traditions, history, breathtaking natural landscapes and authentic food, with perfect taste, will be the pieces of a puzzle in which you will build your own fairy tale, discovering people and places with impressive stories. . But remember one very important thing. For your vacation to be a real success, plan everything in advance so that you can find accommodation where you want it, that you can visit the sights and that the allocated budget is enough to not refuse any pleasure.

The land of Bukovina. One of the few places in the country where traditions are preserved whose origins are lost in the mists of time. In the villages here, you can find grandmothers who spin wool on a rope and who still hand-weave carpets at war looms inherited from their ancestors, decorate eggs according to traditional methods and using natural colors, folk craftsmen who carry on the art of pottery or carving in wood, young girls who learn from the wisest the secrets of hand-embroidered or authentic food that you can’t resist.

The people here seem to be from a different world than all the hectic city life, new technologies and space travel. They still make haystacks, with their unmistakable smell, they use wooden barns to store wheat, corn or hay, they still work their land as before. The peasant houses, some of them hundreds of years old, in which, if you are lucky, you can stay, I remind you that sometimes it is possible for time to stop in place, so that you can completely detach yourself from the worries of every day, by the stress of a world in which life is lived quickly before.

There is no specific season to choose to visit Bucovina, because whenever you get here, it is impossible not to have a dream vacation. In winter, for example, you can enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides, admiring fairytale landscapes, go skiing in Vatra Dornei and let yourself be immersed in the special meaning of Christmas in the country. In summer, you can take a walk with Mocănița, visit the unique monasteries in the world and other tourist attractions that will invite you to know the history of the place and will delight you with their beauty.
