Located in the former village of Voroneț, currently a neighborhood of Gura Humorului, 36 km from Suceava, Voroneț Monastery is part of the UNESCO heritage. Located 8 km from Rădăuți, 15 km from the town of Solca and 48 km away from the city of Suceava, the village of Marginea, in the commune of the same name, is unique in Europe. This is where the famous black pottery comes from, made by potters since 1500. You can even meet them in their workshops, where you can see how they shape the vessels that it would be a shame not to take as a souvenir. You can dine right in the village, and for accommodation you can go to the locals or Suceava. The DN 17A road takes you from Suceava to Marginea.

When you remember your childhood, you can’t help but talk about the stories of Creangă and the village of Broșteni, which became a city in 2004, where Nică took oysters from Irinuca’s goats. Stretching for almost 600 km, Brosteni is the town with the largest area in the country. It is a typical mountain settlement, in which the urban architecture took place only in the city center, located on the Bistrița river valley, on the border with Neamț and Harghita counties. On the Suceava-Broșteni road you reach your destination in about an hour and a half, if you do not choose to stay in the city.
A holiday at 800 meters altitude, trails through the forest, including cycling, trips you can make to monasteries, fishing in the river Bistrita. These are just some of the possibilities to spend your free time in Vatra Dornei, a resort known for winter sports, but also for its spa potential. The thermal springs, the salt purifiers with a high purity, the peat mud from the Poiana Stampei area are some of the natural resources used for various treatments. Weather in Salina Cacica
Dating over 200 years and being one of the oldest recrystallized salt mines in Europe, Salina Cacica is the place you should give a whole day to visit it leisurely. Go down 150 steps, up to 75 meters deep, where there is a sports field. A Roman Catholic chapel is 29 meters away and an Orthodox chapel is 35 meters away. The most spectacular objective is the Salt Lake, which was dug by hand by miners. After visiting the salt mine, you can also enter the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption, located across the road. Salina Cacica is located in the commune of the same name, 40 km from Suceava.
“Tinovul Mare” Nature Reserve

Once in Vatra Dornei, plan a trip to Poiana Stampei, 20 km away from the resort, to explore the Tinovul Mare Nature Reserve, the largest peat reserve in Romania. Specific to this place is the den, ie a kind of swamp covered with moss, with a very pleasant effect when you step on it. Through the pine forest, full of ferns and cranberry bushes, you can walk on a 1 km long bridge.

You stay in Vatra Dornei and then you go 28 km to the village of Gura Haitii, Șaru Dornei commune, from where the 11 km route starts through the protected area. It is a geological nature reserve, spread over 200 hectares, where you can admire eruptive rocks with zoomorphic and anthropomorphic figures, of unique beauty.
